Fusion Air Purge Trouble Shooting

This article features a selection of common problems applicators have experienced with the Fusion Air Purge spray gun along with the cause and solution.

SYMPTOM CAUSE SOLUTION
Gun does not fully actuate when triggered. Safety lock engaged.

Plugged muffler

Damaged air valve o-rings
Disengage safety lock

Fluid does not spray when gun is fully actuated. Closed fluid valves

Plugged impingement ports

Plugged check valves

Damaged piston o-rings

Dirty air valve, or damaged o-rings

Retaining ring not bottomed out
Inspect side seals and mix chamber for scratches. Replace

Tighten retaining ring until bottomed out
Loss of round pattern. Dirty mix chamber nozzle Clean
Loss of flat pattern. Plugged spray tip

Worn tip
